5 weeks
In 5 weeks, I will graduate VN school and by the new year, I'll be a nurse. I real nurse. They are going to let me take care of people...legally! I couldn't be more excited, but at the same time I am scared to death. First I have to pass my boards, but that's not too scary. Then I have to find a job, and even in nursing that can be a little difficult. I think what scares me the most is that I just might cause harm to someone. What if I don't catch that they're about to crash, or if one of their meds is going to have a reaction with another? What if it's my fault they die?I just pray that all this time I have spent in school will pay off and I will become more observant and organized. Once I move back to DFW, I'll be looking into what I need in order to go back to school and get my RN as soon as I can. Within the next year my life is changing drastically and so fast I feel like everything around me is just blurring. I'm about to be 23, and going to bed before 12 is now normal. I'm really becoming an adult and I'm not very fond of it. I will have bills, rent, car notes, insurance...my own place. I've already noticed my family is having more adult conversations with me, its all so strange. There is nothing I can do to stop this, so I'm just gonna take a deep breath, and go with it.
