Is this the life that you lead

or the life that's led for you, will you take the road, that's been laid out before you.....
Rise Against stuck in my head lol

Anyways, it's been a while since I've written so I figure it was time again. Lately, Ive just been exhausted. School is tiring of course. It's all about to get worse too, things are going to be due, clinicals is going to be insane and I really will have no social life what so ever. Other than that, life has been really...honestly amazing. I love what I'm doing in school, I love helping people and appreciate that a lot of the patients have been really good with me as well. I've been very lucky.
Watched the election last night and also got to vote for the first time! It was pretty neat actually, but I had no idea who I was voting for other than prez so there was a lot of ignorant voting going on lol.
I'm pretty happy that Obama won. I didn't really agree with either candidate but the main thing that got me was Palin. I wanted her no where near the white house. I'm very suprised at how angry people became about Obama's win. Time for some maturity people, I had friends on facebook deleting their obama supporting friends...really? Whatever though, it's over and he won. It will be a very interesting 4 years. If it ends up all going to shit....I got friends in Canada that I can go chill with lol.

Well that's really all I got, nothing really special to tell

An Orange full of Sodium Chloride...

is sitting in my house. It's great practice for injections which I passed today with flying colors. I was very surprised too, but the more and more I'm learning in school and seeing actually pay off, the more confident I'm becoming in actually thinking I can do this. The real test will be next week when I start 6 hour clinicals and I'll actually be taking care of a patient. I'll be giving meds, making care plans, etc and I can't wait.
I'm gonna be a nurse....and im gonna be awesome at it lol.
also my floor has neonatal babies on it!!!!!!BABIES!
calm down ovaries...

I won't hesitate no more...

Damn Jason Mraz song has been stuck in my head for days and now I keep listening to it over and over again. I have yet to go outside but I feel the need to drive around and listen to mellow sweet music like I'm in a scene of a movie. You know the one where the character is reflecting silently to themselves as they head in a certain direction. I've always been a ballad fan of any band I liked. The slow songs are usually my favorite.
Ive done a lot of reflecting today, and somehow ended up reading some old e-mails. Found one my ex had written me the day I graduated from high school basically spilling his guts. It's weird to think that at some point he really felt those things, but somehow they got lost in the 4 years we were together, like he forgot. For years I've had guys tell me how amazing I am, how I have saved them, fixed them, etc....I'm not lying almost every guy I've been with has said something to this nature, but now...apparently I was only their saving grace for that small amount time. I'm no guardian angel, just a tourniquet on the poison in their veins that can't hold on forever. I've slowly had to learn you cannot save someone from their self.
But now, I'm with someone who I cannot even describe how they make me feel. There has never been anything this...intense in my life. I feel complete when I'm around him, and I feel like someone has maybe finally saved me. Kept me from believing that no matter how much I gave in a relationship I would never have it returned. I'm not pouring my soul into an abyss anymore, instead its like a mirror, everything bounces back. I feel like I have found what everyone is looking for in someone I've known for years. It's like that quote from when harry met sally, when you meet the person you wanna spend the rest of your life with, you wanna start the rest of your life right then.

Well enough of my mushy gushy stuff lol. I am off to the library to study 9 chapters I have to know by Tuesday for a test that I cannot fail. This nurse stuff is rough but so gonna be worth it.

I am now the proud owner

of a burgundy litman II stethoscope that makes me look like a real nurse. I'm all official now. :P So yea nursing school, it really is tough but I think I can do it. I can now listen to your heart and lungs like a champ! Fell asleep studying last night before I finished the material, not so bueno for the test this morning but I don't think I did too bad. Only a few more weeks until they are putting us in the hospital with real people and I'll be touching them...bathing them...cleaning unmentionable areas...but it's what I signed up for. The whole idea of clinicals scares the crap out of me. What if I mess up something, what if my patient dies, what do I do when someone farts and I can't laugh? Starting Oct. 13th I'll be on the second floor at Nacogdoches Medical Center in the Med/Surg unit on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-6:30.
I'm actually making friends at Angelina which is good because I didn't really talk to anyone when I first started there last spring.
This blog has been entirely pointless and now I'm off to read about the lungs and heart again for review and then the musculoskeletal system....
someone bring me food cause I is broke and hungry... :(

First nursing grade

....an 80! yay I just hope the rest of them go this well. In nursing school anything below a 75 is failing so it won't be easy. I get a lot of my supplies tomorrow so friends beware I will be forcing physical exams on you all.

Shake

and Bake...I'm actually cooking it. I am so horrible at cooking, that I couldn't even do the shake right...stephanie had to help me. I know I will be a horrible housewife and my children will all be fat cause i'll take them out to eat so I won't poison them with my own cooking. We'll see how this chicken turns out, I'm also about to make some chedder broc rice which I know I can usually make successfully. Room cleaning process hasn't been too terribly successful but it's getting there. I do need somewhere to sleep so I need to at least clean the stuff off my bed.

Goood Afternoon

Well its seems that I have given in and gotten a "blogspot". As my friend Mike said "Huzzah!". Not really sure what to write on this first post, I've only been up for an hour and I'm battling the cat from climbing my curtains. I'm hungry and have no money, but I have food to eat here. I'm just lazy and in love with fast food. I should be studying for my test on Wednesday but I really don't see that happening today. I also need to do laundry, clean my room somewhat, and watch some videos for school on vitals signs. I've just discovered someone had Cane's w/o me and that special sauce has been wasted.
That's really all I have to say....maybe I should shower too...
